An estimated 11,401 veterans experienced homelessness on any given night in California in 2020. www.usich.gov/homelessness-statistics/ca
We're honored to support PATH San Diego assist men and women who have served our country transition to their permanent homes.
PATH San Diego provides a variety of services for veterans, including Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) and Community Care Coordination. PATH also provides all supportive services at Zephyr, an 85-unit all-veteran Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) site created in response to two important initiatives of the San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC) and the City of San Diego Mayor's Office: Housing First - SDHC's Homelessness Action Plan, and Housing Our Heroes - The 1000 Homeless Veterans Initiative. Frequently, however, veterans move into PATH's housing with only the clothes on their backs. Therefore, some of the most needed items for these men and women are clothing, mainly, sweatpants, t-shirts, long-sleeved casual shirts, and coats. They also need cleaning supplies and household items (new only please) when they move into their new permanent homes.
If you have any of these items to donate, please contact us. We can pick up your items if you are unable to drop them off at PATH Connections at 1250 Sixth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101.
Please email SDPATHVolunteer3@ePath.org if you have any questions.
Thank you for considering a donation. Our veterans deserve better.
